The incident took place around 2:50 p.m., Friday, May 3, when the Bridgeport Fire Department and AMR units responded to a report of a burn victim at Kentucky Fried Chicken located at 325 Boston Ave. in Bridgeport, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.

The first unit on the scene reported that the victim was being transported to the Bridgeport Hospital Burn Unit, police said.

"It appears this was an altercation between the manager and a customer," said Bridgeport Fire Department Deputy Chief Lance Edwards.

The customer was doused with boiling hot water and received burns to the chest area. Another person was later found with a wound to the head. That customer was also transported to the hospital, police said.

A member from the Bridgeport Fire Marshal's Bureau was at the hospital now attempting to find out the condition of the customer.

Police remained on the scene conducting an investigation and did not provide information as to why the fight started and if any arrests had been made.
